ICV2 has a breakdown of ComScore streaming video audience numbers for the month of February that demonstrate the growing audience for anime moving from TV to the internet.
Of note is the fact that Viz’ Naruto came in at #20 on Hulu’s general “All shows/All channels” listing in February, with the original Naruto ranking at #5 and the successor program Shippuden ranking at #4 in the specific “Animation and Cartoons” subcategory, rounded out by Bleach at #9 and Death Note at #10.
On the same report, the Joost video portal reported both Naruto Shippuden and the original Naruto at #1 and #2 respectively with Bleach at #5, making those anime three of the top five shows on the service.
The report also reflects the staggering growth for streaming video in general with exponential increases in viewers and time spent watching from this time last year.
